Run Lola Run

This movie is in German and has English subtitles. I don't think that should be a problem for most people. This movie is very very fast paced and uses different schemes to get its point across. There are animated sequences which keep the movie fresh and intriguing. The movie has three alternate versions of one problem that happens in the movie. The director easily drives home his ideas on chaotic coincidences. This is like the philosophy of the Butterfly effect where a butterfly flaps its wings and a turn of events somewhere on Earth happens because of that. Its a fantastic movie that should be owned and added to your collection.

Gangster No. 1

This movie is crazy! I was feeling a little different so I decided to check out British films and ones that people thought were good. I came across this movie and after watching it I was amazed at how simple but extraordinary this movie was. This dichotomy is what makes the movie work so well. The storyline is nothing new but the way everything unravels is excellent. There are a few laughs in this one too. the performance by Mr. Paul Bettany is outstanding. He really makes me believe that he is a madman in a suit. The camera work is insane too. There is scene towards the tail end of the movie where Paul Bettany gets real "butchery" and it works so well. The different perspectives that Paul McGuigan films this flick is sharp and interesting. This is a brutal flick so whoever doesn't like blood need not watch.

Opening Credits

This is my first post on a blog about movies, film or whatever you decide to call motion pictures. I'm a fan of all genres and I just like to write her to express my feelings on certain movies. I will only be talking about movies that I think are good. The shit ones can go somewhere else. So don't take this blog too seriously.
